Carrier Transicold provides a complete line of industry leading transport temperature control and auxiliary products and solutions.

I was leading UX/UI efforts during the redesign a CD-based Lookup Parts Catalog that came out in three languages (English/French/Spanish).

The redesigned catalog enabled Carrier field engineers and technicians to quickly find and order the spare parts they needed from the company's several hundred thousand pages of technical information, drawings and diagrams.

Search applications with complex data models pose special challenges. There were hierarchical taxonomies, model numbers and serial numbers. We wanted to be sure that when the users do a keyword search, the information is presented in a meaningful context, so they can narrow it down to the exact part and the nature of the document, whether it is a technical publication, leaflet or catalog. A good content model enabled both the field service staff and external customers to access information in a self-service mode, which cut costs for the company.
